Onion is the main thing for all kind of recipes. Without the onion, most foods will not be fulfilled. Onion improves heart health, improves immunity, prevent inflammation and more. Onion chutney is one of the spicy side dishes with a simple procedure.

Preparation time - 10 minutes
Onion shallot - 15
Red chili - 2
Curry leaves - 3 leaves
Chana dal - 1 tbsp
Tamarind - 1 small sized
Salt - 1/4 tbsp
Oil - 2 tbsp
Step 1: Heat oil in a pan and add Chana dal, red chili, and tamarind.
Step 2: Add Onion when dal gets slightly brown and add salt.
Step 3: Let it cook for 3 to 4 minutes in a medium flame until the onion turns brown and switch off the stove.
Step 4: Cool it for some time and grind into a paste then heat the oil and add mustard seeds and curry leaves and pour it on the chutney. Now the spicy onion chutney is ready.
